Privacy Policy

Telescopy Inc. ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the Telescopy website, dashboard, and related services (collectively, the "Service"), how we use it, and your choices.

1. Information we collect

• Account data: name, email, password hash, country, preferred locale.
• Billing data: handled by our payment processor (Stripe). We never store card numbers; we store only the Stripe customer and subscription identifiers.
• Usage data: actions you take inside the dashboard (searches, watchlist entries, report generation) so we can operate, secure, and improve the Service.
• Device / log data: IP address, browser, device type, referrer. Retained short-term for abuse prevention and debugging.

2. How we use it

• To provide and operate the Service.
• To process payments and manage subscriptions.
• To send transactional email (email verification, password reset, watchlist alerts).
• To secure the Service and investigate abuse.
• To comply with legal obligations.

3. Browser extension

• Where it runs: only on Amazon product, search and best-seller pages, in its own popup and side panel, and on app.telescopy.net (to share your sign-in with the dashboard). It does not run on other websites.
• What it reads: the ASINs of the Amazon page you are viewing (the product, or the products listed on a search or best-seller page) and the product details, to look up their Telescopy scores. Score pills on listings can be turned off in the extension options. It does not read or collect your browsing history.
• What it sends: those ASINs to api.telescopy.net when it shows scores, scans a product or saves it to your watchlist or favorites.
• What it stores: in your browser's extension storage, your session tokens (to keep you signed in), language and display preferences. Signing out deletes the session.
• Permissions: storage for the above; tabs to open the sign-in page and return you to the product you were viewing, to let the popup and side panel show the product in the active tab, and to deliver keyboard shortcuts to it; sidePanel to show Telescopy in the browser side panel.

4. Sharing

We share data with the subprocessors needed to run the Service: Stripe (billing), our cloud hosting provider, our transactional email provider, Anthropic (processes the prompts used to generate AI reports, listings and keywords), Replicate (generates listing images from the product photos you upload) and Telegram (only if you connect it for alerts). We never sell your data.

5. Retention

We keep account data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we erase personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g. tax records).

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@telescopy.net.
